Monthly African Drumming Circles
West African Djembe Drum Circle in Walthamstow
Join us monthly on Mondays from January to June 2026 at 7.30pm for an evening filled with rhythm, music, and community. Bring your own djembe drum or hire one of ours - all skill levels are welcome!
Led by Seneke Sillah, a master drummer from The Gambia, you’ll be guided through traditional West African rhythms in a fun and accessible way. Learn
call-and-response patterns and djembe accompaniments step by step with Seneke’s expert instruction. (You can read more about Seneke’s background here.)

The workshop takes place in Flukes - the stunning retro-inspired upstairs space at Big Penny.
